Gilbert is an Audit Manager of Makanaka risk and advisory services (Pty) Ltd. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant (UK) in 2002. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors South Africa, Associate member of Institute of Risk Management South Africa, a member of ISACA and a fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants. He has a total of more than 16 years auditing and accounting experience in Europe, Sub Sahara Africa and South Africa covering Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Public Sector. His auditing experience includes internal and external auditing of multinational entities, major banks in South Africa, municipalities, public entities, provincial and national government. He was IT audit manager at Gauteng Shared Service Centre.
